Lunar and Solar Eclipses

The eclipse topic is interesting for me for a long time and the August Solar and Lunar eclipses this year brought me this theme to recollection as a new post for the blog. Many authors express different opinions about the influence of eclipses on our lives. And the most think this is the negative concept. Let's find the truth together.

My experience of observation gives me some reasons to suppose that eclipses are unique phenomena that can help us to use its energy in our own purposes for improving some negative aspects of our lives and to get rid of something bad (Lunar eclipses) or achieve something good (Solar eclipses).

When It Occurs
Lunar eclipses occur at least twice each year and can take place only at the time of the Full Moon. It is connected with the Earth that casts its shadow and hides the Moon. There is a line created by Moon, Earth and Sun and those who observe the Moon are able to see the Earth's shadow. At Solar eclipses, the situation is different, because now the Moon closes the Sun. Moon is 400 times smaller than the Sun, and 400 closer to the Earth, they are almost the same in apparent size, so the disc of the Moon can close the Sun completely or almost completely. The phenomenon when it occurs is called the Solar eclipse and it is possible only at New Moon when the line has the following sequence: Sun, Moon and Earth.

Affects
Lunar and Solar eclipses can bring some negative fatalistic events to lives of some people, but only if these eclipses touch the important points in their natal charts. In other words, you should be especially careful if the Sun-conjunct-Moon aspect at the moment of a Solar eclipse or opposition of the Sun and Moon at a Lunar eclipse make other major aspects with your natal planets (especially conjunction, square, opposition).

Science admits the fact that eclipses do have some connection with negative situations taking place in this period on earth. This happens because of activation of diverse magnetic fields surrounding the Earth's noosphere that may cause increase in road traffic accidents statistic, alcoholic intoxication, death from different reasons, heart attacks, suicides and much more negative events. In other words the risk of negative events becomes increased.

Recommendations
The Solar eclipse always occurs when there is a New Moon. This means that the beginning of a Lunar Month may give you the energy for breaking fresh ground and to start some new cycle in your life. New Moon is a good period for making plans, the eclipse impacts your intentions or can balance any imbalance. A Lunar eclipse occurs at the time of the Full Moon. In this day you're full of energy, but it's not a good idea to start something new, because the Aging Moon has a trend to take all the energy with her, just old things are needed to be finished.

The moment of an eclipse does't give some events by itself, but the period approximately 7 days prior and 7 days after this moment should be considered as hazardous. So, it's not recommended to plan some serious events for this period, for example, signing any agreements, wedding, traveling, taking credits and the like. So, try to escape any beginnings. Some experts say the dangerous period is one month before and after. Your thoughts should be only positive. Try to suppress your aggression or hot temper, be calm and patient.

What is great to do during the period of eclipses is to continue and finish the matters you have started in the past. This time is ideal for getting rid of the stuff you don't need both material and mental. Get your own house in order and control all negative information in your head.

The practices you can take in the moment of eclipse may help you set a positive program for the closest period of time. There are some differences connected with Solar and Lunar eclipses.


Practices of Solar Eclipses
There is one interesting practice that can take place in the moment of a Solar eclipse and prior to it that I have found some time ago and tried it several times in my life discovering interesting results.

Three days prior to the date of a Solar eclipse you should abstain from eating such products as meat, nuts or sunflower seeds. Twice a day you should take alternating hot and cold showers for example, in the morning and evening. These procedures help to prepare your body and clean all the negative energy away allowing the good energy to come easier and your positive thought will help your dreams to come true. Later in the day of an eclipse 1 hour before you should take one more shower and take a mirror and a candle. Light up a candle looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking over those things that you wish to come in your life. Warning! Your dream has all chances to come true!
Dream on as long as you wish but remember your thought must be only positive, without any malicious intends or wishes. You can think that you wish to receive: may be love or health? May be happiness to your children or relatives or close people? Lie on the floor with your head to the East, close your eyes and endeavor to imagine that your image in a mirror, not you has any problems in love, business or has a bad health, but you just open yourself for a new life full of happiness. You should imagine in details your dream and how you will feel when it comes true! This is the most important moment.
After the practice quench the candle with your fingers and try to forget about everything that you had in your thought.

Practices of Lunar Eclipses
These practices are the same as with Solar eclipses, but in this case you have a chance to get rid of some things that you don't want to have in your life: for example, to give up smoking, to leave a person you are tired of to become free of any psychological complexes or problems. Lie in meditation with your head to the North.


Karmic Nature of Eclipses
Some astrologers call eclipses "bookends" or "time markers" for the period that follows after this event during the next six months. Find in your natal chart the place where the eclipse has occurred and the topic of the house, where it has occurred will become the most important and touch this sphere for the next half of the year in your life. Also it's very important to pay your attention to the aspects the point of the eclipse makes in this moment especially if they hit your personal planets.

All the matters you start in the first few days after the eclipse receive some karmic nature and you can hardly get involved in these processes, that is why it's not recommended to to begin something new, but just observe the evens taking place. Especially between two eclipses (Lunar and Solar) in the same sign. Usually this period lasts 2 weeks. All the events are inevitable.
