We'd just started a new blog dedicated to Astrology - a science that has gained popularity last decades and has been turned into a quite popular topic for many readers especially with global spread of the Internet and easier information availability. But unfortunately, many years the astrological information was closed for majorities, in many places it was even prohibited, for example, during the centuries of inquisition in Europe. Development of up-to-date science made it strange and mysterious. Today many people are not aware of the real meaning of astrology and the things it discovers and studies. Don't try to judge the things that you don't have a clue of and you will have a chance to get to know a lot of interesting things if you're curious and aspire to knowledge.

If you're a novice and wish to know the truth of astrological science and understand some concepts of the astrological world, this blog is for you! Here we will post information that may be useful for those who stands on a certain step of astrological knowledge and are looking for more.

First of all, I wish to offer you some myths that I have collected since that time when I started to study the professional astrology. I would like to warn you that popular and professional astrology are 2 absolutely different things that in many cases have nothing in common. Therefore, a lot of misunderstandings have appeared and have been living till now.

Myth One
Astrology is a pseudo science and all astrologers are just quacks.
Many think that they know what a horoscope in reality is, but actually they don't have an idea. Do you read columns in daily newspapers describing forecasts for a day, week or year for your sign of the Zodiac? I would like to say you that this is not a horoscope at all. This is just amusement. If you have at least a drop of common sense you will understand that it's nonsense to describe destinies of millions in a few worlds - the same for everyone in your group. Every person is an individual and has his/her own path. That's why such "predictions" can not work as a matter of principle, but they think astrology doesn't work. Astrology works with individuals and makes very thorough analysis in order to make any conclusions that we call forecast, for example.

One more question - science or not? Of course, many of us are sure that a science should be always exact like mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. But what about psychology? This science is inexact. Astrology is an inexact science too, and some researchers think this is an occult science, i.e. mystic, because we cannot explain it within modern scientific methods. We cannot explain why planets have any influence on us and think that this is a mysterious aspect. The main principle of Astrology is similarity principle - "As above, so below" - in other words everything that happens in the sky is similar to all that happens here on the Earth.

I don't like when some people ask: Do you believe in astrology? It's the same as you ask do you believe in physics? In both cases we see real evidences that principles and rules work and let's leave the question of belief with religion. So, it's your business to stay ignorant or to make discoveries thanks to your endless pursuit to knowledge.

Myth Two
Astrology is connected with mystics, esoterics and occultism. Astrologer is magus or wizard.
Actually we are not wizards at all. We do not make any mysterious things, we just read the world of symbols, which the planets and stars are able to give us, we make the thorough analysis. It takes a lot of energy, but it's not a miracle. We learn, we spent hundreds of hours thinking over the problems and later can find the answers to questions that have appeared. Is that mysticism? The only things that are mysterious in this topic may be some kind of intuition that we use and our own brainwork and knowledge of cosmic laws.

Myth Three
Everything depends on us in this life and there is no any destiny or fate.
This is a quite complex philosophical question that can engender argument. But the astrology answers it dually: there is a fate, but nevertheless everything depends on our free will. We were born in a certain day and hour and in a certain place and a lot of factors influenced this moment and gave as a special character, opportunities and special events in lives, but we can change the scenario of our life, because our will is free. Maybe, some people can take or achieve something easily, but our soul knows what she really needs for developing. So, the destiny exists, but it depends on us how to make it better and happier.

Myth Four
The Christian Tradition and Church prohibits the Astrology ideas and considers it a sin.
Astrology science and religion were very close some thousands years ago. Our ancestors looked at the sky and believed that the God has created the world around and they have been integral parts of the Universe. The influence of the planets and celestial bodies was noticed in ancient times and the main concepts of the science have appeared. This influence was considered as a hand of the God. The astrology tradition passed on from one generation to another and a narrow circle of the initiated.

But later the religion was separated from Astrology. New religious systems saw in Astrology seeds of paganism and couldn't endure any competition. It was easier to keep people ignorant and obeying, imposing its will and vision of the world. The time has changed. One of the Christian article of faith run the Future was hidden, since it was in close connection with the will of the God. Nobody can know the Future except the God.

The eternal pursuit to knowledge, wisdom, and development helped the astrological tradition to survive despite of prohibition and persecution.
